Far Cry 6: Ubisoft Decks Out HQ For New Game Launch

Far Cry 6 is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by Ubisoft Toronto and published by Ubisoft. It is the sixth main installment of the Far Cry series for Amazon Luna, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia. The game is set to be released on October 7, 2021 and is available for preorder on Amazon.

The game is set in Yara, a fictional Caribbean island ruled as a dictatorship by “El Presidente” Antón Castillo (portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito), who is raising his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez) to follow in his rule. The player takes the role of guerilla fighter Dani Rojas, attempting to topple Castillo and his regime.

On October 5th, Ubisoft revealed new photos of their Headquarters decked out in the style of Yara. They are surprisingly well done too. It looks like they had one of Disney’s Imagineers setting the whole thing up. It’s a very cool feel that goes from office building to just straight-up jungle. One shot features what appears to be a fully stocked bar with a drink menu that includes a list of mixed drinks: El Presidente, Yara Libre, Margarita, Somos Yara, and Nacian.

Another image shows a World War II style Pillbox complete with a shotgun muzzle sticking out of the front. The whole set is adorned with wanted posted featuring characters from the game as well as graffiti. The graffiti consists of slogans and phrases like “We shoot beyond this point!”, “Yara libre” (free Yara), and what appears to read “Mierda que dice” which translates to “shit he says”, but it’s a little hard to tell.

Posting on the company’s LinkedIn account, Ubisoft said that it was “safe to say our HQ is ready for the launch of Far Cry 6 this week 🔥”. Only two days out from the game’s release, I think it’s safe to say that we all are.
